A total of over 40 years experience in combustion related research and development, equipment design, operation of combustion equipment and CFD modeling for the refining, petrochemical, natural gas and other industries. Some examples of typical combustion equipment include, burners for process heaters, boilers, cracking furnaces, reformers and numerous other combustion applications; multiple types of thermal oxidizers, elevated and ground flares, Claus plant reaction furnaces and in-line burners, CO combustors, air heaters and rotary kilns.

As professor of Engineering at Oral Roberts University, courses taught included
thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, mechanics of materials, engineering economics and solid modeling.

Fourteen years and ten years were spent respectively at John Zink and Callidus teaching combustion principles and equipment operation courses for plant engineers and equipment operators. Responsibilities included the development of the original written instructional materials for the courses for both companies.

Activities with Aztec Engineering include consulting regarding stack emissions, equipment selection and equipment operation, operating efficiency and training of operating personnel. These activities have been performed in over thirty different plants in industries that include, in addition to those listed above, glass, pulp and paper, fertilizer, metal processing, cement and catalyst manufacturing.

Expert Witness Experience:
Expert witness services have been provided for patent infringement, environmental emissions violations, non-compliance with performance specifications, ultra low NOx burner design, home furnace fire, tax credits for combustion R and D activities and heater explosions.
